SOMMA thoughtfully achieves to embody the perfect intersection of underground authenticity and mass appeal. Initially pursuing a more open form of deep house while still in the process of seeking artistic fulfillment, he eventually found his thing and transitioned to a more sophisticated and mature sound, mainly blending groovy rhythms with soulful writing. It didn’t take long until fellow artists started noticing his pristine writing and production skills, receiving spins around the world from the likes of &ME, Adriatique, BLOND:ISH, Hot Since 82, DJ Tennis, Black Coffee and more. And it doesn‘t stop here: SOMMA is striving to be on the forefront of a cultural movement with his creative collective and label LE YORA (together with JEWELS and YUMA): "LE YORA is a world we’re building that allows us to express ourselves with no boundaries.
