Elekfantz began as an inspiring idea and grew into a global powerhouse, filling dance floors and winning fans on every continent. Multi‑instrumentalist Leo Piovezani, known as Elekfantz, has built a respectable legacy, performing at major festivals such as DGTL Amsterdam, Melt Festival, Electric Zoo, Awakenings, Lolapalooza, Rock in Rio and Tomorrowland.
Now regarded as one of Brazil’s leading electronic‑music projects, Elekfantz enjoys a solid fanbase both domestically and internationally. Listeners are drawn to his productions, which blend techno, house and pop. With thousands of monthly Spotify listeners and millions of YouTube views, the project consistently generates excitement for new releases and live shows.
Since the debut single “Wish” on the renowned German label Kompakt in 2012, Elekfantz already had a loyal global audience. The breakthrough came with “Diggin’ On You” (2013), which earned support and remixes from high‑profile artists like Solomun and Gui Boratto and was even featured as the soundtrack of a famous Brazilian telenovela, boosting his popularity nationwide.
The first album, “Dark Tales & Love Songs,” quickly topped the charts. Its standout track “She Knows”received dozens of remixes worldwide, cementing Elekfantz as a premier export of Brazilian electronic music. The album is praised for intimate harmonies, organic basslines and sensual melodies, delivering an incredible listening experience. The epic track “Surrender,” with techno elements, is a highlight among the twelve expertly produced songs.
Following the album’s success, Elekfantz embarked on a world tour that visited more than 11 countries. Gui Boratto, a legend in electronic music and Leo’s mentor, partner and close friend, summed up the record: “It sounds different! Beautiful.” Elekfantz was the first artist released on DOC Records, Boratto’s label, a fact Leo proudly highlights as a testament to his mentor’s keen eye.
The second album, “Elements,” expanded the project’s reach. Backed by Vintage Culture, who supported the lead single “Blush,” the record quickly rose to the top of indie‑dance charts after its release on Universal Music. Other notable tracks include “Work It Out”* (also remixed by Vintage Culture), as well as versions by Gui Boratto, Gabe and Illusionize. The album now sits on playlists of electronic‑music lovers worldwide.
After a brief pause, Elekfantz is set to drop a highly anticipated third album, produced by Giu Daga and Gui Boratto. This new work promises a reinvention while preserving the electronic‑pop essence that defines the project’s unique sound.
Leo Piovezani has also founded his own label, Fat Monkey Records, which will release Elekfantz material and tracks from other prominent global electronic artists. With the new album and his label, Elekfantz aims to deliver fresh sonic experiences and support fellow creators who share his passion for electronic music—a thrilling moment for both the project and the broader scene.
